For Immediate Release

Law Enforcement Barcode Equipment & Inventory Manager Software.

March 20, 2011/Redmond, Washington/ Dynamic Systems, Inc., a Redmond, Washington software developer specializing in data collection applications has announced a low cost equipment and inventory manager for law enforcement agencies based on bar code technology.

About Dynamic Systems (DSI)
In business since 1981, DSI provides bar code systems that track equipment, inventory, documents, time sheets, capital assets and equipment due for maintenance or service. Bar code data collection has been proven to be the most accurate and efficient method of tracking or counting items.

Release of Equipment Manager Software
DSI has announced the immediate release of Equipment Manager, targeted for Law Enforcement Agencies who want to reduce the loss of gear and save time tracking down which piece of equipment is checked out to which officer. The program reports when an inspection is due on items such as laptops, weapons, tasers and vests, and keeps track of the expiration date of consumables such as OC Spray. It is easy to check in and out shotguns and long rifles for every shift. The system can report the overall value of the agency’s inventory which will allow annual budgets for equipment to be set. The inventory module will keep track of class B items such as batons, masks, gloves, and handcuffs. “I’m impressed with the simplicity and adaptability of your equipment management system. It’s affordable for almost all agencies, even those with just a few employees,” stated Bill Allen, Process Control Consultant.

Cost Justification

If it requires one minute checking an item in and out, and if the agency’s staff spends even 20 minutes a day searching for items or servicing equipment, the overhead savings is dramatic. “Loss of equipment and malfunctioning gear can be a major overhead cost for agencies. Our customers see a typical payback for the Equipment Manager within 3-4 months,” states Alison Falco, President of Dynamic Systems.

PORTLAND, Oregon, July 14, 2010 – Information Display Company today announced it has reduced by more than 50% the energy requirements of its radar speed signs and other traffic displays. Made possible through the implementation of advanced design features, the lower energy requirements allow users to save significantly on the cost of solar powered installations of SpeedCheck™ radar speed displays.

In keeping with their mission statement, "Industry leading quality and value", Information Display Company’s engineering department widened their lead in power efficiency by implementing new technologies that have "been in development for quite awhile". They stressed that development continues apace, and that they expect even further significant improvements to be implemented in the not too distant future.

According to Information Display Company, the biggest advantage of the new energy-efficient radar speed signs is the reduced costs associated with operating the speed displays using solar power. Lower power requirements result in the need for fewer or smaller solar panels and batteries. The savings are expected to dramatically increase SpeedCheck’s already significant advantage in solar powered signs.

“We recently spoke to a customer who told us that the solar power package required to operate a competitive display would cost well over $2,200. Sized for the same geographic region, our energy efficient display requires a solar power package priced at less than $800,” said Gary ODell, president of Information Display Company. Information Display Company is already widely recognized for providing reliable solar powered signs that work year-round through the darkest days of winter, where others don’t.

The new energy-efficiency features have been implemented in Information Display Company’s entire line of radar speed signs, variable message signs and intelligent traffic signs.

For more than fifteen years, Information Display Company has been designing and manufacturing high quality radar speed signs, variable message signs and other traffic management displays. The SpeedCheck brand is one of the most respected names in radar speed displays, known for its durability, versatility and effectiveness.

For more information on Information Display Company’s SpeedCheck radar speed signs, variable speed limit signs, intelligent traffic signs, trailers or portable traffic calming solutions, visit www.informationdisplay.com or call 800-421-8325.

The Add-A-Bat, Model 091-171, simplifies this installation and provides a battery charger for the vehicle’s battery as well as the newly installed auxiliary battery. The accessories are connected to the auxiliary battery and thus reduces the burden on the vehicle’s battery. A high current solenoid connects the two batteries whenever the alternator output is detected. This charges both batteries when the engine is running. An Auto Boost feature parallels the batteries for engine cranking whenever the auxiliary battery has sufficient charge. The triple bar graph display indicates the voltage of each battery and the charger output current whenever the vehicle is plugged into AC shore power.

EMS License Plate Program Information

The Emergency Medical Services Authority has developed a specialty license plate to honor and recognize EMS professionals in California. Creating a specialty plate will support and recognize healthcare professionals who work in the emergency setting. These plates will also increase the visibility of EMS in California.

The standard EMS License Plate will be $50 initially and $40 for renewals. Personalized plates (new or conversions) are $90 with a $70 annual renewal fee. These funds may be used in any of the following areas: public information and prevention, recognition program, an EMS memorial fund, AED programs, a trauma registry and prevention program, charitable programs or programs to enhance EMT applicants statewide.

EMSA must collect 7,500 pre-paid applications before the plate is produced and distributed to applicants. This process could take as long as a year, which could delay applicants receiving their plates. If EMSA cannot collect 7,500 applications a full refund will be given to the applicant. A full description of the program is available here.

We now have a plate that has been given clearance by DMV and CHP. You may order your plate by filling out the application form and sending it along with the appropriate payment to the address shown on the application form.

A Division of GelTech Solutions®, Inc.

Water Tames Fire…FireIce® Kills It!

By enhancing one of the Earth’s most precious resources, GelTech Solutions® has developed FireIce®, a product that has the potential to change current firefighting tactics that are currently in use. FireIce®, is a state of the art water enhancing suppressant that is currently being employed by firefighters, first responders and military both domestically and internationally.

Safe: No damage to firefighting equipment
Eco-Friendly: Environmentally sensitive
Versatile: Used as a suppressant or in structure protection
Easy to Use: Simply incorporate into water

News/Press Release

Green Tech: Firefighters Hot To Try FireIce®

FireIce® — a potassium-based polymer that, when mixed with water, becomes a gel that stops fires cold — could soon make its California debut.

California’s 2,096 wildfires burned more than 1.2 million acres, destroyed 2,000 homes and caused at least 15 deaths. Shasta and Trinity counties saw more than $55 million in damage. GelTech Solutions®, the Florida-based company that makes FireIce®, wants to dramatically reduce such statistics.

Created eight years ago by Peter Cordani, chief technology officer of GelTech Solutions®, FireIce®, is nontoxic, noncorrosive and biodegradable. Designed to fight wildfires, this product can be sprayed on vegetation and homes. Sprayed ahead of a fire, it creates an effective fire break. Sprayed on "hot spots," it instantly snuffs out flames, preventing them from recurring, company officials said.

Tom Strenta of GelTech® said once the fire is over, simply hose things down and FireIce®, dissolves. Its formula then enhances tree and brush growth.

FireIce®, was tested by one of the largest independent laboratories in the United States (Southwest Research Institute of San Antonio). FireIce®, also tested effective against fires from rubber, tires, gasoline and diesel fuel, company officials said.

"This product can mean the difference between first- and third-degree burns or between life and death," Strenta said.

When Cordani recently saw Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger talking about the wildfires’ devastation on TV, he traveled to California and attempted to see the governor in Sacramento. Unsuccessful, he was eventually referred to San Diego’s Intermountain Fire Department.

Intermountain Battalion Chief Jeremy Christofferson said, "I’ve been dreaming of a product like this."

At a recent green tech exposition in Los Angeles, Cordani gave a demonstration of FireIce®,. He aimed a fully lit acetylene torch at an uncoated piece of wood, which burst into flame. He then dipped his hand in a bucket of FireIce®, gel and turned the torch on his hand. As viewers gasped, nothing happened. His hand was cold; no nasty burns.

But before California’s firefighters can benefit from the product, it must still undergo more testing and be certified through the Department of Forestry. Once it passes, a number of agencies must sign off on it. These oversight groups include OSH-TAC, the state Fire Marshal’s Office, the National Wildlife Coordinating Group and the National Fire Protection Administration, whose guidelines firefighters adhere to.

This entire process takes up to 18 months. But there’s a silver lining. In cases of extreme emergency, Cal Fire can "use any product that’s useful for fire suppression activities," said Dave Ault, deputy chief of operations for Cal Fire’s North Region in Redding.

This product may get that chance. A fire recently broke out in the San Diego area, and Cal Fire’s Assistant Chief Kevin O’Leary authorized dropping FireIce®, if the fire worsened.

Using gel as a fire suppressant isn’t new, Ault said. It’s one of four standard methods already used. It’s used in firefighting aircraft, but it’s been too difficult to get the proportions right to use in fire trucks, he said.

FireIce®, requires no special equipment or mixing. One 50-pound bag will fill a typical 500-gallon fire truck. Just add water.??

The price is appealing. Other methods cost from $4 to $20 a gallon. FireIce’s®, 60 cents a gallon cost could cut California’s firefighting expenses.

"If (FireIce®,) simplifies things, if it has the same characteristics of other products and costs less," Ault said, it could be more readily accepted.?

"I see a future for these products as a suppression tool," Ault said.
